Preventive treatment is often insufficient for patients with chronic migraine. In 2023, eptinezumab – an intravenous CGRP inhibitor – was approved in Norway for patients who have failed at least five other preventive drugs and two subcutaneous CGRP inhibitors.
This project is a retrospective observational study investigating the efficacy and tolerability of eptinezumab in a Norwegian hospital population with extensive treatment failure, a patient group often excluded from international real-world studies. The goal is to provide knowledge that can improve treatment options for the most severely affected migraine patients.
The project is led by postdoctoral fellow Andrej Khanevski.
