MG Health Economics

We have a health economics project related to myasthenia gravis, in collaboration with Oslo Economics. Here we use data from various national health registries. These cover both specialist and primary health care, and they include information on disability and social benefits. The projects are partly funded by the pharmaceutical industry.

They are particularly relevant in connection with the use of new and very expensive drugs. Cost-benefit analyses of such treatment are necessary. In the project, we aim to define patient groups with particular benefit from expensive treatment. This will contribute to appropriate start and stop criteria for new treatments.
